God Can Use Those Whom The World Rejects

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.
1 Corinthians 1:26

You may think that you are a nobody, maybe even a has-been or a loser in the eyes of the world. Take heart because God’s Word says that if you are not wise, not mighty or not noble according to the flesh, then you are a prime candidate for Him to call on! And when He begins to use you, you will see His favor, power and increase change your life.
In the eyes of the ancient world, Moses was the rising star of Egypt. The Bible tells us that in the first 40 years of his life, “Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds”. (Acts 7:22) But God could not use him then because he was too smart, strong and full of himself.
It was only 40 years later, after having been in the unglamorous desert of Midian, emptied of himself and thinking that he was a has-been, that God sent him to confound the might of Pharaoh.
The world may pass them by — the weak, the small, the forgotten and the losers, but God chooses them to confound those mighty in the world.
I know this to be true. As a little boy, I grew up facing rejection and ridicule because of my Indian-Chinese racial mix. And as a teenager, I was the butt of many jokes because of my stammering and stuttering.
When I was in my teens, I remember praying to God, “I don’t know what I can do for or give You, but You got me — spirit, soul and body.” I don’t know how many times I prayed that prayer. But I knew that God heard me because He called me. Only God would dare choose me, a stammerer and stutterer, to pastor a church for Him that has since grown to more than 20,000 members today.
I know what I was and where I came from. I know I have done nothing and can do nothing apart from His anointing and grace in my life. (my desire...)
My friend, when you think that you are weak and small compared to others in the world, that is when God can use you to do great and wonderful things for Him!
Thought For The Day
God chooses the weak, the small, the forgotten and the losers to confound those mighty in the world.

So this break (thanks to sallah), we had a sleep-over at a friend’s house (mega-fun). At some point we decided to see another movie (we had seen some before). After deliberating with a lot of noise, we finally settled on IMMORTAL – one bloody (literally) movie.

Unconsciously one of us observed aloud, “why is this Zeus so young?” Some went ‘yea…. That’s true’, others concentrating didn’t comment. And that was it... (this zeus was young with six pack)

Days later on my way to work, it came back to me (as usual), “who said Zeus had to be old, long white bearded, holding a staff, with his eyes flashing lightening… lol. The movies I think.
So also, God is not old, long white bearded, holding a staff, with His eyes flashing lightening, wearing a long white robe and smoke puffing out His nose… you know generally having the stern look. That is the movies ‘again’ helping your imagination. Nowhere is God described as a romance novels describe the hero or heroine.

So what does He look like....

Genesis 1:26-27
King James Version (KJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his OWN image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

It hit me, If I'm made in His image and after His likeness then...

His face is me
His face is you
His face is your husband
His face is your wife
His face is your child (ren)
His face is your boss
Yes His face is even that person you despise so much
His face is your friend, brother and sister (s)
His face is seven billion people now on earth
His face is every man, woman, boy and girl, past, present and future
His face is all the innumerable company of angles
His face is creation

Clear your head of that image you have of Him, yep you know the One and let Him show you what He truly looks like.

His description is in our spirits not our minds.
God is good... that is Who He is.... I love Him

Ps: After writing this post, I thought some more. God does not ACT like you or me, far from it. He acts like Him. Get in His word and you'll know just how He behaves. Don't judge or box him based on the way your neighbor behaves, unconsciously alot of us do that.

Mark 11:22

Do we have faith in God or in some-one (thing) else? Your answer may be, 'surely I have faith in God', but think about it for a moment. It's like asking, "Do you know God or You know about Him?"
You see, when the light is out and the worship leader, pastor and all the saints have gone their way after the Sunday morning service. When that worship that causes you to have goosebumps and you know for sure that God is here, is not available and you are alone, with that bill to pay, with that nice guy that is everything you hoped for but just wants you guys to move the relationship to the next level (his bed), when you need 100k like yesterday or a new job like forever, when all your boss does is nag you and that flat mate is just plum annoying, when you've had that nagging thought since forever to give away that car but you hold on to it cause you'll walk (and others will think or even say how foolish you are)  if you give it out. When the pressures come and you need to pray but praying just seems like a waste of time...... and on and on and on.......
Do you know for sure that, God is real, He is with you and He is faithful? Even before I learnt about His faithfulness, I made up my mind a long time ago to stick it out with Him, not to ask WHY?, get angry with Him and throw tantrums, but to stay with Him, and trust the integrity of His word (Heb 6:18) because, He is faithful (2 Tim 2:13) and trust Him that everything will work out fine.
Beloved, the only thing in the devil's CV is deceit (Eph 6:11), and he'll put you through a lot of pressure so your eyes is off God and His word. You see, you have over come him (the devil - Rev 12:11) and he knows that when you stay with God, your victories are sure, so he plants confusions.
Faith in God is of the heart and not so much about the activities you put up for others to admire. God sees our heart and honors accordingly. When pressures come, HAVE FAITH IN GOD... and SAY, you'll surely SEE... (Rom 10:17)
